Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The very first encounter when I was 6 years old. I guess they are actually not the first because there were others before them like Jem and the Holograms, etc. There are four superheroes and each has their own weapons and attacks. I fell in love with this movie. It has April O'Neil and Casey Jones, Splinter and of course, Shredder. It goes back to the 80's cartoons as well. I am never going to forget the Tomatoes or the Rat King. My favorite is Leonardo in the pack. Leo has katanas, Raph has sais, Don has a bo staff and Mike has nunchucks. Each have their own personality. Leo is more a calm leader, Raph is all about going forward and kicking butt, Don is like a genius, and Mike is a party being and fun. They all live in the sewer with their sensai or master Splinter who uses archery as a weapon. I think people at that age was in love with this and the costumes made by Jim Henson, which he had also created Sesame Street and Muppets. Stop it! I can't take it (Muppet Babies).

This is the first film of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Raph, Leo, Don and Mike are back in the second film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze. Not many people like this movie because they rather have Casey Jones but instead they have Keno. The second film features Vanilla Ice at the end in the nightclub. I wished I did danced along with the ninja turtles. Except there are two giant creatures lurking out in NYC. Toka and Razar were supposed to be Rock Steady and Bebop as they would say, but it didn't make it any clearer to me because Rock Steady is a rhino and Bebop is a warthog, so I didn't see that clearly except for a turtle and a dog. Shredder has on the side is Todd. It seems that they couldn't put too much in this film. Of course, the budget in the 90's was probably limited. Who knows?

When people cry about the third film they cry about this...

It had Corey Feldman in this which I didn't know too much about. Well, because I didn't want to give away the magic. The third film has Leo, Raph, Mike and Don to go back into time into Japan 1913, which is medieval Japan. They become dressed up as guards looking for April who had been sucked into the time machine. They had also the real actors to play. I would say that TMNT 3 was sort of cut off really short until the end. You get the ending when Mike comes back down the ladder. I got all three films anyways because I became a fanatic of the Ninja Turtles.

Even their live version....

Leo, Don, Mike and Raph are at it again. I had to get the VHS tape and I watched it. Too bad I wasn't in NYC because I was living in Woodbridge at that time with my parents. This had Professor Stockman as the bad guy. I was hoping that he didn't turn into a fly. Don looks pink in the picture with sequins and stuff, but I guess they couldn't find purple. This show was a live show of them singing, acting, playing music and Shredder. Even kids were active out of their seats. They got souvenirs and stuff. That's okay I remembered I had a glow in the dark sword and I thought I was Leo for the day.

The Movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was produced by Michael Bay. It had Megan Fox as April O'Neil and this is just to discover the ninja turtles. This seems different from the first and the second movies that I've known. I can't forget the 80's cartoon because it came before all the movie platforms. The 80's cartoons had commercials in between and messages. The new movie I would share with my children and even the old because growing up with this kind of stuff was amazing. I became a tomboy so I had fun in England and I had a Michelangelo birthday cake. I think Mike looks more yellow than orange in the new movie. You think so?

The second movie got me going way back into tears...

Just because we might have left out some of the detail doesn't mean that nostalgia can't come back. Rock Steady and Bebop and also Krang. They are the most nostalgic part of the ninja turtles 80's cartoons. I guess with cartoons they would look too cartoonish. With so much effort into it is possible and Tyler Perry was playing as Professor Stockman. He was the evil side of Professor Stockman. I just hope that he doesn't turn into a fly. I hate the movie "The Fly" I can't stand it. I had ninja turtle toys as well. I had Raph and Mike, but I couldn't find Leo or Don. I had to deal with two Raphs being one of the turtles.

The 80's cartoon is so nostalgic that there are other variations of the cartoon growing into the new generation and many more.

I will also add a plush doll at the bottom of this page. I don't even have words to say at the end of this blog.
